Saptarshi Lahiri

I am a fashion designer based in Bengaluru, India . After passing out from NIFT ( National Institute of Fashion Technology ) 2001, I joined the apparel industry as a designer.

My work experience is 23 years and I specialise in Denim. I love painting ( oil , water colours ), trekking and Drone flying. My interest in trekking happened in 2022 while visiting Lahaul, Himachal, India in 2022. I was struck by the raw beauty of the Himalayas and decided to come back again. In trekking the maximum height that I reached is 5974 m, Kanamo peak, Spiti, Himachal, India.

As a person I believe that I need to be sustainable to protect this planet. As such I took a break from my work for 4 months and trekked to the Himalayas in India and lived with the local villagers in Lahaul & Spiti in Himachal .

I love to travel to Himalayas and my paintings are inspired by it, the streams , rivers, passes, snow clad peaks, the clouds and the forests . These are the subjects of my work.
